Missing components in Visual Studio 2015

As described in this article (last modified: January 04, 2016), I set up a development environment for creating SharePoint Add-ins in SharePoint Online. I installed the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 (update 2) and the latest version of the Microsoft Office Developer Tools.

Two errors occured when connecting to the SharePoint Online developer site:

Resolved by installing SharePoint Server 2013 Client Components SDK.

An error occurred whilst trying to load some required components, Please ensure the following prerequisite components are installed. Microsoft Exchange Web Services.

Resolved by installing the Microsoft Exchange Web Services Managed API 2.2.
